BIG CHANGES COMING TO CALIFORNIA COAST APPRAISALS!
Hello all and welcome to California Coast Appraisals. I have some exciting news to share with all of you today. In light of the recent changes to the market, and the new requirements demanded by the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC), California Coast Appraisals has decided to take all the steps necessary to make your transition as easy as possible. So, what are we doing?
First and foremost, we will no longer be a small appraisal shop servicing Sacramento and the Bay Area. Instead we are looking to expand to all of California. California Coast Appraisals will be shifting from an appraisal shop, to an Appraisal Management Company (AMC). However, we plan to be light-years ahead of any AMC you have ever had the displeasure to work with in the past. The problem with the majority of the AMCs out there is they are owned and operated by banks, title companies, and people who's main goal is to make as much money as possible. At California Coast Appraisals, we are a company founded, owned and ran entirely by licensed appraisers. We will always be fully compliant with not only the HVCC but also the Universal Standards for Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP); the latter something lacking from many AMCs. Many AMCs suffer from poor turn around times, poor response times when conditions need to be satisfied and an overall poor quality of work. This often stems from the fact that most AMCs only pay their appraisers 40-50% of the typical appraisal fee while pocketing the rest. At California Coast Appraisals, our goal is to provide you with the same level of service and the same turn around times you are used to getting from your appraisers, while still staying fully compliant with the new HVCC. How will we accomplish this?
1.) PAY OUR APPRAISERS WELL!
2.) Provide you with an account representative that is always attentive to your needs and ensures your needs are met in a timely manner.
3.) Provide an easy online portal from which to order your appraisals, check status, and access completed reports; all while staying fully HVCC compliant.
4.) Keep our statewide group small so as to keep quality high and communication open.
We have made quite a bit of progress in the recent months and have recently begun marketing directly to lenders. If you have enjoyed working with us in the past, and would like to receive the same quality of service after May 1st, please contact us today so we can begin working with your lenders to ensure our continued working relationship.
If your are an appraiser and are interested in joining our team, please contact us today! We are only looking for 2-3 appraisers per major market area. This will ensure high quality reports and easy communication. Depending on your experience, the fee split could be as high as 75%! Try finding that at any other AMC. Additionally as the company is owned and ran by licensed appraisers, you can be sure there will never be any tampering with your reports after they are submitted as we are bound by the same rules and ethics as you! We will need the following information from you, which you can submit via email by clicking here:
License, Resume with at least 5 work references, E&O Dec. page and if you are approved to complete FHA appraisals.
